El ecuatoriano Jonathan Caicedo, (Petrolike), ganó la cuarta etapa que terminó San Rafael Pie de la Cuesta, puerto de montaña de tercera categoría, soportó los múltiples ataques del trio colombiano, y se afianzó en el liderato de la Vuelta Bantrab que culmina este domingo.
Daniel Méndez y Rodrigo Contreras, ambos de NU Colombia; y Jamaica, (Team Medellín); se rotaron para sacar de rueda a Caicedo, quien debió hacer su máximo esfuerzo por mantenerse en el quinteto, en el que también estaba integrado por el local José David Canastuj, (Hino One La Red-Suzuki); y al final dar la estocada para ganar la jornada.
